Steel Storage is ringing in the new year with a new factory to house its growing manufacturing division, to be managed by newly appointed Production and Logistics Manager Matthew Taylor.
The new 3,000sqm factory is situated in Brisbane’s north-east at Eagle Farm and has been designed to maximise production capacity, together with new modern office space for Steel Storage’s experienced team of design and construction professionals.
Matthew Taylor joins Steel Storage with extensive experience as a process engineer and operational leader passionate about innovation and production efficiency. His expertise in lean manufacturing, trades and engineering management gained during his long-time tenure at Orrcon Steel will make him an invaluable resource for the Steel Storage team.
Steel Storage General Manager, Stephen Boxall, is excited about the opportunities the new space will deliver and the experience Matthew brings to the business.
“The new factory will enable us to increase both our product range and our manufacturing capacity, right in the heart of Brisbane. Matthew will be overseeing the transition and it will be great to have such an experienced hand to guide our production in this next phase of our growth” said Mr Boxall.
2021 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Steel Storage and the industry at large.
